School for Young Psychiatrists

The program of the Joint WPA co-sponsored XIV National Congress of the Serbian Psychiatric Association and III Congress of Psychiatric Association of Eastern Europe and the Balkans, that will take place 18-21 April 2012 in Belgrade, under the auspices of the President of Republic of Serbia, will include the School for Psychiatric Trainees. Prof. Norman Sartorius, Prof. Dusica Lecic-Tosevski and Prof. Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic represent the faculty of the School. The School is a continuation of the two preceding schools for young psychiatrists in Serbia, held in December 2004 at Mecavnik and in October 2008 in Belgrade.

AIMS
The aims of the School are to introduce young colleagues to the skills important for professional and scientific development in psychiatry, such as the following: how to make a presentation, how to lead an interview, how to answer questions, how to select a topic for research.

METHOD
All candidates will be engaged in interactive lectures, as well as in individual and group practical exercises, in order to acquire the skills for professional and scientific progress in psychiatry.

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
English.

CANDIDATES
The candidates should be either psychiatric trainees or medical doctors working in psychiatry. They should have CV with clearly reported scientific interest in psychiatry and be fluent in English language. The candidates should be nominated by psychiatric departments of university institutions or by the principals of big psychiatric hospitals.

CERTIFICATE
All candidates will receive certificates signed by the school organizers.
